Marinelli New Dance Theater is a wild, boundary-pushing collective of women-identifying people intent on producing theater that combines old-school storytelling with new school techniques and technologies.
In our work, we strive to highlight creations by historically "hushed" groups, but value humor and lightness and much as we plumb tragedy and heaviness. We make it our goal to work with the best of the best: thinking, informed, curious artists that know that discovery never ends, and are not content to sit on laurels. We make it our mission to hire ingenious-but-overlooked creatives who might not have had as much success within traditional structures and they deserve. As a company of proud misfits, we believe in the power of "outsiders" coming together to challenge the status quo, and (hopefully) finding joy and community along the way.
